Ancient Lakes Bath Co. specializes in handmade bath products made from natural products that we all know and recognize. 

Hi! My name is Rachel. I am the owner and mompreneur of Ancient Lakes Bath Co. My journey in making handmade bath products started when I ran out of my favorite bottle of lotion. While running out of lotion was a problem, the problem that inspired me to make my first lotion bar was even bigger – it wasn’t working. I was putting lotion on my hands several times a day and letting it soak in for fifteen minutes at a time. But it wasn’t curing my dry skin. So I did some research, bought a few recognizable and moisturizing ingredients and made my first lotion bar. I was hooked. It worked so well, I swore I would never go back to chemically laden store bought lotion again. 

That lotion bar was the first step of many in my journey to rid my family of all the unnecessary chemicals in our house. I wish I could say that I have fully succeed, but I haven’t – yet. With each product I made, I am one step closer to that goal. 

My products include lotions, lip balms, bath salts, bath bombs, soaps and shampoo. All products are made as chemical-free as possible. Chemicals used are chemicals I’m willing to use on myself and have a very specific purpose that can’t be accomplished any other way. I test all products on myself and my family to ensure that they do what they are designed for and have the right consistency, before I even think about selling them. If I don’t like something I have created you won’t see it. I only sell what works.

As I have embarked on this journey, I have discovered the healing properties of plants. I bring this into my products through essential oils and plant-derived products.
